The customer confirms they are the legal owner or authorized agent of the device.

Pre-Existing Damage & No Guarantee of Outcome
Electronic repairs involve inherent risk due to age, wear, corrosion, liquid damage, manufacturing defects, or prior third-party repairs.
Under Canadian common law, a repairer is not liable for latent defects or failures not caused by negligence.
TechPro Kelowna is not responsible for:
- Pre-existing faults or failures
- Device failure during or after repair due to internal defects
- Manufacturer defects or design flaws
- Loss of functionality unrelated to the specific repair performed
-
Data Loss Disclaimer (Consumer Responsibility)
The customer acknowledges that data loss is a known risk of electronic repair.
Under the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act (SBC 2004, c.2), service providers are not required to guarantee preservation of consumer data unless explicitly contracted.
"A supplier must not engage in a deceptive act or practice." (BPCPA, s.4)
TechPro Kelowna does not represent or guarantee data preservation. Customers are solely responsible for backing up all data prior to service.

Cosmetic differences and performance variation may occur.
-

Any warranty applies only to the specific part replaced and associated labour.
Warranty is void if:
- The device is opened or repaired by a third party
- Physical, liquid, or electrical damage occurs after service
- Damage is unrelated to the original repair
-
Repairer’s Lien & Unpaid Services
Under the Repairers Lien Act (RSBC 1996, c.402):

TechPro Kelowna may retain possession of the device until payment is made in full.
-
Abandoned Property (30-Day Rule)
Devices left unclaimed for 30 days after service completion or customer notification are deemed abandoned.
Under the Repairers Lien Act, a repairer may sell or dispose of unclaimed goods after proper notice:

After 30 days:
- Ownership transfers to TechPro Kelowna
- Devices may be resold, recycled, or disposed of
- No compensation is owed to the customer
